This is for everyone:
Looking at things logically.
The world is created (however you believe this happened).
The first humans come along (we are here so we started somewhere/time).
It is in human nature to have belief in outside influences (this has been shown throughout history).
Later generations come up with different beliefs often completely opposed to the earlier beliefs. The first beliefs are eventually classified as stories, myths and forgotten.
All of this has happened and whatever you happen to believe in; hopefully we can agree with these events.
Now the questions:
Wouldn't the oldest beliefs be the closest to whatever caused the creation of earth?
Would that make them more likely to be the "true belief" or true word from the creator (if there was an intelligence involved)?
Can we please stop claiming only beliefs from the last 10,000 years are the "right" belief?
Sorry I should have specified: These questions apply if any form of belief is correct.
