Why is it that humans are never depicted as being holy and divine like Gods, and simply are waiting to ascend?
Why are we always considered to be out of the "Divine Plane of Existence", and that once we reach the "Spiritual World" we're pure?
Why is it that humans are always the ones who are punished, or tested, and must live and die before they can reach the "Immortal Plane"?
An answer with the description given to you by your religion, lack of religion, or point of view would be great.
Thank you so much for reading, and have a wonderful day.
P.S. I'm an Atheist. Living life in wonderfully and knowing I'll exist forever in my actions and choices that effect the world, whether or not there's something after this. I believe in a heaven and hell on Earth, and that the choices we make shape this world for the better... or for the worse.
Ah, but every time you shine a light into the sky, does it not radiate out and affect the universe? Does not every radio wave fly outward and hit something? Does every action affect another action?
Who says we won't spread ourselves among the stars and galaxies of the universe?
Also, our sun won't go super-nova anyway, it's going to become a Red Giant.

I'm asking because I'm curious and only 17-years-old. There's always room for change and I don't have as much experience as people who're older than me.
