Questions on '87 Mercedes-Benz 420Sel?

My parents just bought me an 87' Benz (For $500, which I guess isn't bad for the good condition that it's in.) I'd just like to know some basic questions like top speed, tail light prices (The left tail light is broken, but passed inspection,) how to get rid of a base ball sized area on the hood that's discolored, and any other info would be GREAT.
