Hello folks!
I am an aspiring chef, hoping to go a culinary school after high-school.I pretty much know the basics of cooking and simple items. But its getting a little bland :P so using the descriptions from my title can anyone please share some recipes that meet those guidelines? id like to make the meal under an hr because of a hectic schedule with school.
Suggestions:
Mac n cheese
anything with chicken
anything with beef
salads
new spin on vegetables
sheperds pie
tacos
etc..

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HAVE EXPERIENCE FROM USING THE RECIPE BEFORE AND DON'T POST A LINK AND SAY YOU'VE HAD IT BEFORE WHEN YOU HAVEN'T!

Also any helpful tips and advice for a 15 yr old chef would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Vegetables in Lemon-Herb Dressing
Ingredients
* 8 ounces fresh pea pods or one 6-ounce package frozen pea pods, thawed and drained
* 1 14-ounce can artichoke hearts, drained and quartered
* 1/2 of a 14-ounce jar pickled baby corn, drained
* 8 fresh mushrooms, quartered
* 2 medium tomatoes, seeded and chopped
* 1/2 cup olive oil or salad oil
* 1/4 cup tarragon or white wine vinegar
* 2 teaspoons finely shredded lemon peel
* 1 tablespoon lemon juice
* 1 teaspoon sugar
* 1 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
Directions
1. If using fresh pea pods, remove tips and strings. Cook fresh pea pods, covered, in a small amount of boiling salted water for 2 to 4 minutes or until tender; drain. (If using frozen pea pods; do not cook.) Combine pea pods, artichoke hearts, corn, mushrooms, and tomatoes in a large container or bowl. Cover and chill for 1 to 2 hours.
2. For dressing, combine oil, vinegar, lemon peel, lemon juice, sugar, and basil in a screw-top jar; cover and shake well to mix.
3. To serve, pour dressing over vegetable mixture; toss gently to coat. Serve with a slotted spoon. Makes 8 side-dish servings.

Why not do what millions of women do , and make up your own recipes.Dont forget , women dont have to be trained to cook , but men do because they are unable to make up their own recipes.Thats why you should start now.Use imagination. If you really need someone to tell you how to make macncheese , and shepherd pie at your age , then you have my sympathy.I was making much more adventurous meals at age 10.How times have changed.

Bim Bim Bop

Left over or fresh made rice.
1 fried egg
Five drops hot sauce. I prefer Sriracha Hot Chilli Sauce. We call it cock sauce because of the rooster pictured on the bottle and the name is to hard to pronounce. Always gets a laugh.
Shredded carrot, stir fried or raw.
Thin sliced cucumber, stir fried or raw.
Serve veggie over rice with fried egg on top. dot whole thing with desired amount of hot sauce.

Bean Casserole (Private recipe created by self)
This is not Chili but can easily be converted with chili powder and hot peppers. I like it as a casserole.

1 lbs. ground beef
3 cans of red kidney beans
2 cans of tomato sauce
1 can of diced tomatoes or 3 peeled and dice tomatoes.
1/2 green pepper diced
1/2 onion diced (and for Gods sake don't use those flavorless red onions that are supposed to be used for salads not cooking)
2 tablespoons of olive oil

Saute the green peppers & onion in olive oil till translucent. Mix with the tomato ingredients & beans.
Fry the meat until brown not seared it changes the flavor of the dish. Mix in with the rest of the ingredients. Season with Garlic powder, Oregano, celery seed and salt.

treat yourself to some deviled eggs once in a while or egg salad sandwich. Beef Stroganoff, stew or Alfredo is easy. Sweet potato or yam with brown sugar glaze high in vitamin C. Chicken Versuvio will change your menu.

Apricot - Pineapple Chicken

3 to 4 pounds chicken pieces
1 (8 ounce) bottle French dressing

Preheat oven to 350 degree's. Mix together
salad dressing, apricot & pineapple preserves
and dry onion soup mix.
Place chicken, skin side up in a 9 x 13 inch pan.
Pour mixture over chicken. Bake, uncovered,
for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Very good recipe, easy to make but it does take 1 hour and 15 minutes to cook
