I don't have a favorite poet. I'm expecting to have one after I hear from you.

Robert Frost - "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening"

Depressing and beautiful. And it's the only poem I will ever like.

Time Does Not Bring Relief,

TIME does not bring relief; you all have lied
Who told me time would ease me of my pain!
I miss him in the weeping of the rain;
I want him at the shrinking of the tide;
The old snows melt from every mountain-side,
And last year’s leaves are smoke in every lane;
But last year’s bitter loving must remain
Heaped on my heart, and my old thoughts abide!
There are a hundred places where I fear
To go,—so with his memory they brim!
And entering with relief some quiet place
Where never fell his foot or shone his face
I say, “There is no memory of him here!”
And so stand stricken, so remembering him

because it is how i feel about my man, who died in july of '11. as the time slips away, i know it is true.

Its not really a favorite...

A Fairy Song

Over hill, over dale,
thorough bush, thorough brier,
over park, over pale,
thorough flood, thorough fire!
I do wander everywhere,
swifter than the moon's sphere.
And I serve the Fairy Queen,
to dew her orbs upon the green.
The cowslips tall her pensioners be
in their gold coats spots you see.
Those be rubies, fairy favours
in those freckles live their savours.
I must go seek some dewdrops here,
and hang a pearl in every cowslip's ear.

William Shakespeare

" hold fast to dreams, for when dreams die
Life is a broken winged bird that can not fly

Hold fast to dreams for if dreams go, life is a barren field covered in snow"

Not only is it inspiring but its also a sad reminder.

The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost!

The words are very expressive and have a very deep meaning.
