So I've successfully synced and listened to music onto my brand new MotoROKR E8. I've heard that custom ringtones/ringtunes are available and I've tried 3 methods in vain.
1) I found an option in the "Media Finder" menu when clicking on a song that says "Apply to >>> Playlist or Ringtune" however, the Ringtune option is greyed out.
2) When customizing Themes and Profiles in the Settings menu, there is an option to choose a Ringtune from your music library, but nothing shows up in anything but the Preloaded Ringtunes folder.
3) I installed Motorola Phone Tools from a disk that came with my phone and it successfully updated and recognized my phone. I used the Melody Editor within the program to save my ringtone to my computer and subsequently transfer it to my phone. Again,this did not work
Please help!
