Greeting is given only to people a person knows. This is a minor sign and it has happened already. How do you feel about it?
yes I agree with both of the users. But in a larger gathering this is not the case. Very few people greet all people in the room.

Atleast where I live, Alhamdulillah, everyone greets each other with 'As Salam O Alaikum'.

Whenever someone walks into some gathering or into waiting hall of a hospital or a post office etc....that person greets in a little bit loud voice to everyone else.

i try to greet everyone, i give salaam to all for sure... even when i'm on the roads, i try to give salaam to every muslim woman i pass but sometimes its not possible as they dont give eye contact or just walk past.... i dont think they do it on purpose though.
