just completely cut out.? Ill push it the rpm's to just a little bit before red line. And twice it has almost completely shut off. The engines basically gives out and the rpm's drop to idleing rpm. I can just let off the gas and do it again and it will be fine. But why has it cut out on me? I drive a 750 gixxer 01

my cbr did that a while back.. found out the fuel filter was dirty, didn't get enough fuel when full throttle..changed both filters and adjusted mix.. runs pimp!

When you say gives out, do you mean shuts off?. Another thing to check is your kickstand switch. They are known to shut it down when vibration of high rpms are at peak when it is almost out of adjustment. It may not be whats happening to yours, but check it and make sure. the little tab on the k-stand that actuates the switch over time will bend back causing an intermitted open circuit when you are getting on it hard and vibration occurs. when the vibration goes away from slowing your roll, it will re-engage and motor kicks back on.

if you're winding it up quickly, the tachometer has a bit of a lag..

it might be reaching it's pre-detirmined rpm limit before the tach catches up.

Does the bike have a rev limiter, it will shut it down so ya can't blow it up
