Recommendations for an ipod FM transmitter for a car stereo PLEASE ?

Im looking a getting a FM transmitter so I can just hook my Ipod up in my car stereo without actually getting it hard wired into the speakers. Iv heard mixed reviews from people i know, some saying they are OK and some saying they were absolute rubbish, I know the price varies from about £5 - £45 and id rather pay a little more if i thought id be happy with it. Does anyone have one / had one that you would recommend ?? Also ones to avoid ??.. is there any specific specification i should be looking for ?? I drive a Alfa Romeo 156 if that makes any difference, though i think they are all universal..
