Religious people, why do you laugh at the fact that some people believed...

...in the Greek Gods? Just wondering, because in English a few days ago people were making fun at the Greek Gods stories so I wanted to know, why is it funny? They believed in the gods long before the bible was written so how is it funny?
I wasn't too clear. I should have asked, "Why do some religious kids in my class thinks it's funny?"
 
Blessings to all i don't know why would they do some thing like that for we are different and have different belief i will never do some thing like that i'm a christian and i act like one, that was not nice to do especially if some one do not understand i guess some people are ignorant of things they do not know so they laugh because they are void in other culture belief and traditions, just ignore them and go about your business. Peace to all.
 
Because most people who practice Western religions (Like Christianity, ie. Catholicism) are very narrow-minded prejudiced people. I'm Catholic by family and birth, but I don't worship or practice. I'm currently looking into Buddhism now, very interesting, full of open-minded people, and it's enlightening :)

I never heard anyone laughing about it, but maybe because they believe in so many GODS!
Don't you realize why after the greek gods stories the bible was written? because many greeks
believe in many gods so God himself sent his son to tell us the good news.
 
i like greek gods a lot more than the bible god, they're more interesting and actually have faults we can learn from.

Those people were entitled to their own religion. Just because it's different from ours doesn't mean anything.
 
because they are mythical stories made up by men with no proof while the bible is an accurate historical document and all messengers from god in the bible proved by prophecy and miracles they were speaking on behalf of God.
 
just like Mary in the Catholic Church---the cross----and other idols.....these folks are just dumb.
 
I don't think anything is funny. Although, some of the stories of the greek gods are funny because they are like a soap opera. But the fact that they believed in these gods, yea thats not really funny. You were probably in a room with a bunch of immature people.
 
the things of God are only understood by them that have the Spirit of God
 
i don't think its funny. i think everyone has the decision an power to believe in hat they think is true.
 
I find believing in religion funny, I see no reason to single out the Greek Gods.
