The ABS module on my 2006 Pontiac Torrent is kaput and now every time I break at low speeds there is a loud grinding noise and I have to press very firmly to come to a full stop.
I've taken the car to a mechanic who informed me that it's the ABS module and everything else is fine.
I unfortunately don't have the time or money to have it fixed quite yet, I was hoping to drive with the problem for another month or so, but i was wondering if there was a way to disable the ABS in the meantime to at least get rid of that annoying noise.
I heard that i can remove the ABS fuse as well? Is this accurate?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
