I'm serious!)...? Hi All,
I am a new landlord. I own a coin laundry but... don't know how much it costs my tenants to use it!
cost to operate the coin dryer and coin washer.
My question is: is finding out the cost done simply by putting the quarters in all the slots (filling all quarter slots) and coins not needed will be pushed out?
You see I just purcahsed the property and the seller forgot to tell me. However, I will not ask him the question becasue I have a feeling it's a really stupid one.
THANKS..

if you don't fill each and every slot the coins won't drop, and your laundry machine won't start. If there are any slots that don't require a coin, the coin will stand up and not seat correctly you won't be able to push the handle in. Most are costing between 6 and 8 quarters (1.50 or 2.00) per load. Go get a handful of quarters and load the slots - you'll soon figure it out. (Don't worry, you can retrieve the quarters back out- and put back into your pocket) You can always call the listed appliance store that sold or leased the machines to the landlord and they can tell you.

exactly. insert quarters into all of the slots, whichever ones are not used will be pushed out. then, buy those thingys that cover up the slot, so your customers know exactly how much to put.

for example, if your washer has 8 slots, but it only costs 4, then cover up the other 4.

why is it so important to know how many quarters? are you going to take it off their rent?
