repeat question-deleted, How do I convert youtube vids for ipod/iphone?

I'm pretty sure that I should create a play list, download it somewhere on my hard drive (but where) and then convert. But do I download some kind of freeware to download, or do I have to buy something? I'm computer savvy in some ways, but not in others and I'm not savvy in conversions and such. Already got answer for this and it was deleted. See next question too please regarding lime wire.
