i'm trying to restore my touch, but itunes is asking it i want to restore it from the backup of what used to be on it. I'm assuming that will restore it to iOS 4.2, which is what was on it before I began the restore. Is that correct?
I need to downgrade to 4.1 or lower to jailbreak, but I'm reluctant to set my ipod up as a new device, because the backup is the only location of things like my photos and contacts.
