You don't need to care about the right side. All have to do is place the left rear where it needs to be. I open my driver's door and lean out and watch my left tire on the ground.
Pick a spot to the driver side. Be about half width out from space and turn away as you pull past so your rear points toward the space and ease back alongside the vehicle you can see most easily.
