Road trip- price estimate?

I'm driving to Michigan this summer, and the total distance is 600 miles.

My Jeep gets 18 mpg. This comes to 34 gas stops, each $20 to fill up.
This means my trip will cost me roughly $700 at best...
Is this correct?

I want to make sure.
Flying might be the better investment... =/
 
If you mean there and back. I go from NYC to Detriot about 600 miles (1200 rd trip) my '01 Mustang GT gets 22 miles to the gallon and it costs me about $125 round trip. Of course gas is about $2.07 in New York and evn less in Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

Remeber you get better mileage on the highway because you don't have to stop and go all the time. You should only be spending about $150 on gas.
