after their performance and why?
Edit: Lol. Mr. West, you really shouldn't post answers while under the influence :)

The Rolling Stones.

They were supposed to sing"Let's Spend Some Time Together", instead they sang the real lyric which was"Let's Spend The Night Together"

It was the Beatles - after their Ed Sullivan appearance they had 5 records in the Top 10. Sullivan naturally demanded 10% of the royalties and John said 'you can stick your programme Ed we're more popular than Croesus (often misreported as Jesus)'

The Rolling Stones DID change their lyrics per Sullivan's request, but you can see Mick rolling his eyes during the performance. I'm gonna say The Doors - Sullivan didn't like the line "girl we couldn't get much higher" from Light My Fire and requested that they change it - the Doors agreed, but when they went on stage and played, they left it in - Mr. Sullivan was NOT amused and The Doors were never invited back.

Yeah, it was the Doors. When Morrison was told he could never do the Sullivan show again he flippantly replied "I just did the Sullivan show".

Wasn't it the Rolling Stones because they wouldn't change Let's Spend the Night Together's lyrics, and also dressed like Nazis?
