SAMSUNG BD-C6500t blu ray player issues with wired connection?

Hello, So as I mentioned above, I have this Sam-sung Blu-Ray player. Wireless, the connection is a go. However, with poor signal, trying to watch netflix causes a lot of time delay, and buffering, interfering while watching a movie. So I ran a wire, from my router to my Blu-Ray player in the other room. Before final touches, I made sure the connection worked by plugging the "new" wired connection into my laptop before my blu-ray player. Everything worked fine.

Problem is, after having connected the wire into my blu-ray, going through the settings options, Network Settings. Status is not connected. Leaving the option as AUTO, to fine my ipaddress, DNS, Gateway etc etc automatically. After a few minutes, you just see the numbers being switched over and over, trying to find the right one. So I decided to leave it on and continue searching. Eventually with no success, and countless reboots, I decided to go ahead and enter information manually.

Let me explain, after entering it in manually, a network test comes next. With 3 steps, 1st step "detecting a mac address", 2nd "IP ADDRESS, Subnet mask, DNS and Gateway" 3rd step, "Gateway Ping".. Leaving it automatically, it would fail after the 1st step. Entering it now in manual mode, I get to the second step cleared, while on the 3rd step, and error occurs, showing network "cable is not plugged, and to verify Gateway address"

Calling on the phone line between my internet provider for my modem, router provider and samsung. No one has solved the issue. All firmware has been updated. The same process went through easily for my PS3, with a wired connection, detects everything properly. Same setup, however now I'm getting this error. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas? All firmware upgrades have been made. There is an internet connection. No firewalls, and I have made sure the router/modem are up to date and working fine. What do you guys think? Thanks!
