Ok, my sister and my mother both have Sprint and we are in a small country town. They don't get that good of coverage area but they can still make roaming calls. I was able to do that also with my LG Rumor. I sent that phone in because it had kinks and just got the Samsung Rant. The thing is it won't make any calls or texts or receive them! It only says "out of coverage area" but I'm like I can't even do a roaming call!? My mother has an old free Samsung flip phone and she can do roaming calls and texts fine! >_<
Is my phone activated? It seems activated. When I go to my Sprint profile online, the Rant shows up instead of the Rumor. I send a text and they say "it is saved to your outbox until you get into coverage area". When I check under "Phone Info" it says that "power vision is disabled"...WTF?
I called Sprint and we were on the phone for about 15 minutes trying to resolve the issue. The man said sorry but it's just that area. When I asked why my relatives could all call out and get calls and there on Sprint he said it must be my phone, there's nothing they could do.
It just seems pretty weird that an old rusty Samsung can get roaming and I can't LOL.
