I have played trumpet for about 3 1/2 years and i really want to scream on trumpet. The other day when i played my Jerome Callet C Trumpet, i warmed up with it because the C trumpet has tons of resistance and i hoped that it would help me play higher on my Bb trumpet. And it turns out that, after playing warm ups for 10 - 15 minutes, when i switched to my Bb i could play to at least to a G above high C without changing my embouchure. Now when i try to start out with the C trumpet and the same exercises i can't play as high as i could that day. I really want to be able to scream by April this year because i know that i want to scream at my jazz concert with my solo. Can you help me or tell me why using my C trumpet the other times i couldn't play that high? Can you give me some exercises for screaming? Please help me!
