Our family has a dozen chickens that we bought at chicks and have been raising since last summer. We have had some production at the end of the year (about 4 eggs a day or so). But we're a bit concerned about having too many eggs come this spring. We're a family of four, but my husband and I have been thinking we're not quite sure we can keep up with eating all those eggs.

We wondered if there was any laws/regulations regarding selling the excess eggs from our backyard flock? (We're in California) I don't have time to take them to the farmer's market or anything since I have a little one at home... I was just thinking about putting a sign up against our fence or something. I'd appreciate any input, thanks!
