Selling truck with out of state title?

We are currently trying to sell our truck, but I am not sure how to handle the out of state title. My husband bought the truck in Alaska, and we are currently living in Colorado but the truck still has a title with Alaska. The truck is now registered in Colorado, and there is no remaining balance on the truck. Do I need to transfer the truck title to Colorado or does it even matter?
