I'm learning about tobacco addiction in health and I want to hear some of you're stories. How hard was it? How did you do it? Have you relapsed? Do you feel better? Feel free to write as much as you want!
Didn't want to quit I enjoyed the addiction of course I did. I knew it was a horrid Habit and did consider other people around me who did not smoke.
I smoked 20 a day for almost 40 years, then one day it almost gave me up, I had a CVA (stroke) only a small one from that day onwards I have not smoked. Yes, I still want a ciggie but I know if I have just one then all the good work and months without have been a waste of time.
The lungs recover in a short space of time although never fully. Quitting is easy to say and the devil to give up. Working on it every day NOT to give in, you will have the craving for the rest of your life, but NEVER give in.
