Should celebrities be used for promoting international development?

What the hell is wrong with these people. George Clooney wants to get us involved in Darfur and these people sending in answers say " Yes, they are positive role models" My *ss! they should stick to their damn professions. Wait a minute... They are still acting.

?? ????their human beings just verry successful does that mean they should be used for entertainment during their personal lives i dont think so paparatziies are so cruel they are humans not to be examples to others because everyoe makes mistakes only in their carreers. but other then intruding in personal lives they are veryyy veryy verryyy great influences because they have managed a veryy successsfull businnes and became wealthy the way they want to be reguardless of the consecquences because they are strong peopleee we all should learn and respect how far theyve gone in lifee!!! believeee itt!!! they should be examples to others in managing a great life but not just to be popular to enjoy it as you go on????????????????????

Seeing as Westerners are pretty ignorant to third world countries but pay (way too much) attention to celebrities, then celebrity involvement will defo increase awareness
