I have a 2000 model vs series 3, ute...i just put 20 inch rims on is and it made the whole car higher...and it doesnt tuck the rims..the front is fine...but just wanted to lower the rear so it tucks the guards...ill cut the guards to do this..its a really nice ute and i want to keep its handling and everything..will this effect the ride and handling dramatically because of cutting or should i just buy even lower springs for rear....at the moment i have all 4 brand new munroe gas shocks and king springs superlows...so will cutting (shortening) the already stiff aftermarket rear springs ((there not stock i wouldnt think about cutting rears on stock setup...been there done that bak in days)

Never cut your springs. They will rattle and corrode at the cuts. Buy lowered springs or some clamps to pull the springs down.
