Should I get a harley, honda or a suzuki?

a a is right in regards to the sportster other harley models hold their value. take a look on ebay. but i'd go with the vtx
 
Should I get
the
Honda VTX 1300C
or a Harley Davidson Sportster
or the Suzuki Boulevard M50
 
If you want a reliable-trouble-free motorcycle, Get the HONDA B.B.
 
All three are great choices in their own way.

The only way to find out is to take one of each for a ride. I don't know about the Honda and Suzuki, but you can rent a 1200 Sportster for about $75 per day on weekdays. That would give you a whole day in the saddle. I really liked my Sportster, but then again, I have had Hondas that I loved, and I currently own a Suzuki that may be the best machine I have ever owned.

The first thing that I would do is go to the library and see what the magazines say. That's a good place to start. Then get out there and ride them.

(I don't know any HD riders of bikes newer than maybe 10 years old that have any oil leaking problems on their Harleys. My Suzuki ('04 GSX-R1000) is leaking slightly from the clutch cover, so oil leaks aren't only an issue for one brand or another. It's an easy fix though, and it could use a clutch anyway. )

Just buy the bike you like best.
