Should I get disposble visa card for the cruise?
I've never been on a cruise before, and I've heard a lot about cards getting stolen/charged or identity stolen overseas.

The cruise will be paid for before I go, but I guess I would need money for any extras. I don't want to carry large amounts of cash on me, (obviously,) so I was thinking about getting several visa 'gift cards'.

Is this a good idea? how many should I bring? what amounts? can anything purchased on the ship itself (like drinks, spa, shore excurcisons) be charged to the room? what about the tip? Is it included or seperate? or is it charged to the room. A friend told me about a soda card for soft drinks. Do all ships have those?

Be nice to this newbie crusier. You can tell I don't know what I'm talking aobut. :P

I have only gone on one cruise, and I charged drinks to my room. I imagine a disposable visa would be a good idea, can't imagine you'd lose one, but I guess two might be good. As far as amount, if you don't drink alcohol, I dunno, figure three bucks a soda (they know they can get it). I don't remember how much excursions were, depends on what type. Spas, well I paid two hundred for a body wrap myself. Bon voyage!
