I got 2 guinea pigs about 2 weeks ago from someone who obviously didn't care for them very much. The cage was filthy and smelled like ammonia and poo...
Since i've gotten them, i have cleaned the cage once a day (not a problem, takes maybe 10 minutes), and i've rigged up food bowls and the like...
But one of them has a little bit of poo stuck to one of his feet that I tried to get off by holding a damp washcloth to it...DIdn't get it since I didn't want to stress him out a whole lot...
But they do need a bath, or at least a 'wipe down'...
How would I go about doing either, and what soaps/cleaners are safe?
I have no 'special guinea pig' shampoo, just dish soap, laundry soap, regular dog grooming shampoo, and 2 kinds of flea shampoo. (and i imagine none of those would be safe)
