the trouble? I'm an American, and I'm currently studying abroad in Australia. My family is pretty much paying for my room and board here, and I paid for my school tuition through scholarships i earned. I have been saving money like crazy for the last year and a half for this adventure, mainly so that I could afford to travel. I've been here a month so far and I've made many great friends, but most of them are locals so they really don't have much interest in traveling. I really want to see Fiji, New Zealand, and the Great Barrier Reef while I'm in this part of the world, but I just can't seem to find anyone to go with. All my friends just aren't that interested, and the few other exchange students here I met who I'd think would want to travel simply cannot afford it. I really want to see Fiji, New Zealand, and The Great Barrier Reef, but I just really don't want to go alone. I would just hate to fly back home in a few months and have my family ask me "so where have you traveled.. and with who" and for me to say, "Oh I went here, here, and here, but I did it all alone" because, come on, let's face it, that's really lame. Should I just keep all the money I've saved that I hoped to spend on taking adventures around Australia for some other time in my life, or should I just suck it up and do the traveling but alone. I know I would feel kinda dissapointed in myself coming home knowing I stayed in the same place the whole time... I just don't know what I should do?? I've thought about this a lot and I truly don't know, so please don't give me answers like "only you can answer this question" because at this point I really need other people's opinion.
