In 1968, the famous calypso singer Harry Belafonte appeared on a TV special with Petula Clark. In one scene, she laughs at one of his jokes and reaches over and touches him on the arm. Nothing more--not a hug or a kiss, just a touch on the arm. The sponsor, Chrysler Corporation, wanted that scene removed from the program. There was a big to-do about it, and the special ended up being shown with that shot in it. Some TV stations refused to carry it. People all through the country were outraged. Just over a touch on the arm!
Now we have inter-racial couples on TV, even kissing. The trend has been towards more tolerance of interracial marriage. And also towards more tolerance of homosexuality. In a few years, the sight of two men hugging or kissing on TV will be as commonplace as interracial kissing is now.
No! Who really cares if they show it? They show straight people doing it all the time! No, I am not bi gay or lesbian but my sister is a lesbian. Are they any less of a person? I mean really, it's a chemical process in the brain. Oh, and the people giving this a thumbs down? Real mature...if "God" was so great, and gays are supposed to be "sinners", then why did "God" create them? What? Are you afraid they are going to come and infect you with gayness?
