Sudan still has slavery. Should he make its elimination a major cause?

that's not a bad idea, but he shouldn't just focus on the Sudan. slavery comes in many forms. i've heard a few horror stories about how phillipino workers are treated in iraq. what about the sex-slave industry that takes advantage of asian women and women from eastern europe.

YES he should, there is no point in us constantly hearing about how we should apologise for the slave trade that happened before we were all born, while black on black slavery is still in practice now as we speak, is this ignored because it isn't whites doing it, is it acceptable when a black man takes a slave, NO i don't think so, so YES Barack has made history by being the first president in US history to be mixed race, he should take it on himself to rally the world against this practice in africa and lets not forget south east asia, and finally stamp out the slave trade, it was ended in the west but are people aware that slaves were brought to the west who were purchased from other africans tribes who had conquered them etc, Its time the world said enough is enough and stop worrying about seeming imperial or upsetting people because by attacking africa, while there at it, they should go in and sort out every tin pot leader africa has, and make it a better safer place for the african people.

I also hope that Barack OBama doesn't follow the track record of other black presidents throughout the world and become a dictator also.

We are still slaves 1/2 your income is tax, You are an indentured servant, Free to choose indenturship, and speech. Doesn't sound free to me. Paying for government pensions, for people who do not contribute to Social Security. That is the true reason S.S. is failing. The money we pay for pensions, along with the money government employees do not pay would fix S.S. Why should we pay for pensions we do not benefit from. S.S. is the Americas pension, that is not good enough for government employees. This is a huge portion of the work force, that does not contribute, they just benefit. This is abuse of tax money in my book
