...rights? This 62 year old great grandfather might face jail after refusing to pay £9,495 owing on his Council tax, for the last nine years.

Since a traveller site was placed next to his property he has suffered 250 crimes and now has said his 5 bedroom property is 'worthless'..

Should he be made to pay or is he just in his actions?

I think he should pay, anyone else would have to wouldn't they? If he decided to stay there it is his decision although it may have been hard to move.
 
no he shouldnt. but its easier for his council to take him to court and send him to jail than it is for them to battle against the gypos.my heart goes out to this man. why should he be enduring this crap? ask crash brown
