I've lived in the US, but never yet been to Australia. I've heard from some of my friends, who've been to both countries, that they find Australia to be very much like America, especially the major cities of Australia they say closely resemble some of the major cities in California as well as the Midwest like:
Sydney == Los Angeles
Melbourne == San Francisco
Perth == San Diego
Brisbane == Miami (but of much smaller size)
Adelaide == Chicago (but of much smaller size)
Do you agree with the similarities above? The similarities are based on appearance, terrain and vegetation.
