...inspired by the one true god? If god exists why wouldn't he rid the world of the books that are false, slander his name, and lead people astray?
 
If you look at all the world religions, every one claiming to be the one true religion, it certainly is a case for atheism. However, many people believe and have faith in their particular religion. And these aren't stupid people, either. granted, some are but some really smart people have religious faith. I don't and i don't think i ever will, but it certainly is an interesting study.
 
Many? I can think of only three or four religions who make that claim, and of those only a small fraction actually maintain the divine inspiration of that book as a religious dogma.
