site icons for internet shortcuts added to the the desktop?

some of the shortcuts show the target icon,(ebay) some just show a default IE icon.How can I make the desktop icons always show the site icon?
 
Open IE > right click on ebay and select "Create a Shortcut" > This will show another ebay with a (2) > Right click on that one > Select "Send To" and select Desktop.
 
i know what you mean, i've wondered the same thing.

there's no way to change it though. they either change automatically to have the icon, or they just stay blank. you can't do anything about it.,

sometimes it takes a while for the icons to appear though, so they might appear soon!
