I have had the bike now for 2 years with absolutely no problems (when I bought it there were only 800 miles on it). But after my last oil change there has been a slow leak coming from the bottom of the engine. I replaced the gasket for the drain plug but it still leaks. Anyone know any common problems on these bikes?

Did you replace the oil filter?
There is a way to put the gasket on the drain plug that would almost insure that it won't leak.
Put oil on both sides of the gasket and make sure that you have clean threads for the drain plug. A toothbrush works good. And make sure that you clean the threads well that the plug is going into. Then dip the drain plug in oil so that it would be easy threading back in.
But be sure to coat both sides of the plug gasket with oil. All of this should be done with brandy new clean oil.
Is it really leaking a whole lotta oil since you have done this?
You may want to take the plug out and save the oil and do all of those things and then put back the specified amount of oil.
Good luck!!!!! Ride safe.
oh ya....if it is losing enough oil that you are sliding around on your back tire then you really need to fix it asap ~wink~

If it,s coming out of the drain plug then the thread is stripped if you have already changed the gasket on the plug
