Slowing down a DC Motor - Explain using Kirchoff's Voltage Law and Faraday's Law?

What happens to current through a DC motor as it is slowed, explain using Kirchoff's Voltage Law and Faraday's Law.

Oh and by slowing down the DC motor, I mean as in physically touching the DC motor to slow it down (basically increasing the resistance I believe)
