I know a different version. Stub your toe on the table leg so it becomes saw, use the saw to cut the table in half. Put the two halfs together to make a whole, jump through the hole and then yell until your voice is hoarse, jump on the horse and ride away. :)
 
You are stuck in a room . There are no windows, and no holes. How do you get out of this room using only a table and a mirror?

Look in the window. See what you saw. Take the saw and cut the table in half. To halves make a whole. Now climb out of the whole (hole).
