ok i have a 6 speaker set in my trunk 2 pyle subs( not sure wattage) 2 mid ranges and 2 tweets in the same box i opened it up and it has a small circuit board with some capacitors and coils( guessing this s a passive crossover network) im thinking on slapping a 400-600 watt amp in
my questions are
1 can i do it
2 if yes a amp you recommend if no what is your recomendation on this subject
3 do i have to re wire the box
additional: my car is a 2005 buick lesabre/w stock head unit(reccomend a decent unit for abot $100-150) and no amp the trunk box is running off of the rear deck speaker connections(rear deck speakers are not plugged up just the wires from the head to the deck are being used)
thanks in advance for any help

i think the circuits your looking at are for the tweeters for cutting out feedback threw the tweeters.you can get a mono amplifier these are made for running sub woofers.you must find out the RMS rating on one sub double it because you have two of them.and match this number to a mono amplifiers total RMS rating. find a match to the sub woofers total RMS rating,a match is what your looking for.sounds like this was bought like this.see if the rest of the speakers still work when the subs are disconnected,if they do you will be able to power the sub woofers on there own with an amp that the subs can handle.if not you best leave well enough alone.the circuit board you are looking at could also be a small built in amplifier that is already powering the sub woofers, and there is a good chance that's all the power they can handle.my advice to you is to sell that hole box to a friend and go to ebay car audio then sub woofers and then amplifiers they have many items to build your own system with name brand stuff new and used.take a look, build your own system and sell the pyle of crap you have and go with name brand equipment like kicker rockford fosgate alpine pioneer.and remember the things i told you about the RMS rating,it applies to all powered sound systems.the RMS rating is the true power an amplifier is putting out per channel or for a mono or single channel amplifier, these are made to run sub woofers it will have a total RMS rating. that box full of pyle equipment should be left like it is before you blow the subs putting to much power to them.good luck hope this helps you out.
