She borrowed his new truck to go shopping in a snow storm and backed into a light standard in the mall. This is my son's first new vehicle and he's had it for only a few months. His insurance is a bit steep and he does not want it to go up.
Problem here is that she does not want to pay for the damages to the rear of the truck (chrome rear bumper and a fender). She's insisting that he put it through his insurance. And it's not like she can't afford it. She has a very well paying job.
What should my son do? He's asking for our advice and I really don't want to get involved in this mess.
