Sony Official PS3 Bluetooth Headset Bizarre Problem!?

The headset worked fine for a few months. I charged it fully and turned it on today with my ps3, and from the moment it turned on it endlessly made a jarring, static-ish tone. It seems to be working fine except for the tone--it paired fine with the ps3, volume buttons adjust the loudness of this noise, and the mute button responds. I can try to turn it off, and it will make the melody that confirms the shutdown, but it doesn't turn off and the noise continues. Does the headset have any sort of reset method? Thanks

Is your tv loud? are you near a wireless phone? Do it happen when you speak with a friend,it could be His bluetooth?

Read the bluetooth manual troubleshoot.

Most likely one of the above getting a feedback through bt.
