...comment? In the sheltering shade of the forest
Under the protection of the full moon
I walk to the bed of the fallen
To a place where moonlight
never forgets to illuminate
The winters frost from my last visit
has long melted away
leaving the dried leaves to crunch under my step.
The swaying shuffle of the tree's soothes
my worried soul and keeps it going
Approaching a group of dainty robins
who fly to the purple shaded sky.
It was so long ago that I told you
"for you i'd bring the devil down"
but it seems you were brought down by the devil
Condemned to a never ending sleep, wherever you are
As the path narrows it meanders to the left
to a place alit by three lanterns
And I get to my knees on the soft grass
and read to you my solumn elegy
for you to hear.
Wherever you are.
Sorry this is free verse once more, I haven't really done much more poem's in stanza, and sorry I haven't posted in a while. Hope you enjoy, definitely not my best work.
