I have a 2009 Specialiozed Hardrock - it cost £250. I bought it from new. Its rubbish, the gears mash up SRAM X3 and the front derailer does not kick in. the brakes always need adjusting the levers of poor quality and the cables supplied made from elastic. Forks are naff and any bolts or screws have rusted. the traction was so poor with the original tyres these have both been changed to more aggressive type (£60) i have taken it back to the shop they have adjusted bit - it worked okay for one trip then fouls after another outing and all requires another adjustment.
Is it worth up grading the components or selling the whole thing (although ebay prices do not look for me to recoup anywhere near its purchase price after 12 months). Your comments much appreciated.
