Ok so i just put a brand new tail light bulb in my 95 honda accord because it wasnt working when i bought it, anyways the weird thing is the brake light/stop light is the same exact light bulb it just gets brighter. So what happens is i turn on the lights and the left bulb lights up and theres nothing on the right side, i hit the brake and they both light up nice and bright.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

You have what's known as "dual filiment" bulbs. Basically, when you turn on your park lamps one filiement lights and when you hit your brakes they both light up causing the light to be brighter. Long story short, you have a bad bulb.

that bulb actually has 2 elements inside of it. One is low intensity (marker light) and the other is high intensity (brake/turn light). as long as the bulb is good and the rest of your lights come on then the problem is probably a wire broken somewhere to that light.
