ok so i am still rather new to boating. i have started my safety classes and training and have just been having a ball. now i am wondering if i can couple my love of rifles with boating. i have seen one other question about taking guns on board but that was about cruising and the difficulty's with taking them into other country's. but i do not intent to take them into other country's. i dont intend to leave the states for the first year or untill i feel good about my ability's and can afford the bigger boat =) i know the regulations for driving with them. unloaded and trigger lock and ammo separate from gun. but what i want to know is is it aloud. what i would idealy like to do would be to take my boat up the coast to oregon or Washington and go hunt instead of driving or taking a plane. i have looked all over the boating websites and laws and have not been able to find anything.

thank you for the help.

p.s i am watching league of extraordinary gentlemen. and as i was writing he is shooting those floating targets as the ship is underway. what is the rule of discharging a firearm out in the ocean. i think it would be bad ass to take my clay target thrower out and mount it to the front of the boat hahaha. ( the clay targets are biodegradable and none toxic and i would be carfuel to buy like non lead shot. and dont like cruiseliners have trap and skeet on some of there ships?

Once you get off the coast enough, into international waters.... fire away.
