Since the tech gadgets have taken over (ie) i tunes, i pads, kindles, I pads, netflix on WII or x box 360's...

There are no music stores to go to anymore like tower records...
Blockbuster stores are impossible to find, and pretty soon the book stores will be gone too....

I don't know about anyone else but I miss being able to go listen to unknown artists at tower records..I didn't have to pay to hear new and interesting things, I just popped on head phones and could spend hours, same with blockbuster, I could walk down each section and really find new movies and genre's.....

with the invention of kindles and I pads I fear the bookstores will be gone very soon....I like my bookstores on a rainy day....WTF

people don't have to leave their home to do anything, is this not making us all slaves to a gadget?

I strongly disagree. With gadgets and internet, I have access to drastically more movies and music books and shows and journals and writings than i ever would if u had to rely on a brick and morter store tgat is only going to stock what sells well in a specific region. I still browse unknown artists and movies to find new things. i still have access to tons of books. The only library i have stepped foot in in 10 years has been to use materials that cant be checked out.
These stores are going away not becausr there isnt music and movies, but because there are so many ither places to get it, they cant make the profit they did 10-15 years ago. At that time, thosr stores had a Sort of monopoly on that area of the market, bc it was the only option ppl had.
My guess is you just never bother to get off ya or facebook to realize the internet is more than a chat box.
