I love to write and I've written 2 stories already, but now I'm having writers block. I have this idea, about this shy village girl getting a job in a city (in a shop or something) and the owner's son is a player and is determined to make her fall for her but she falls for his nicer brother? Is that cliche? Do you have an idea that could help me?
I'm thinking that the nice brother is engaged and has no interest in the girl?

make the brother much nicer but a proper nerd... whos gay... and a virgin but proper nice to her... and make the lad a "bad Boy"... then send me check when you sell 1mil copies :)

Or maybe she doesn't have interest in the brothers, but the nicer brother starts to have feelings for her while the player of a brother is trying to make her fall for her to be mean to his brother and ends up breaking her heart and then the nice brother is there for her but now she doesn't trust anyone but the nice brother keeps trying and they fall in love?
Lol, or is that cliche... Sorry I changed it a lot xD

Cliche. How about: the village girl isn't shy at all. She's rude and impulsive. She joins a gang, but everyone in the gang is killed including the man she loved. The girl becomes quiet and needs a job. She moves to (pick a place) and finds a nice job. She meets the brothers and fall immediately in love with the eldest who is engaged. He then goes missing. The youngest asks for help, but she denies many times for she hates the guy. Her boss, the boys' father, can't function anymore and sends her out to look with the youngest.

If you find that cliche, that's alright. I hope I helped and gave you a little bit. Good luck!

she should assume that one brother is gay and really get to know him as a friend and then confess her love for his brother to him XD that'd be funny, and then the other brother can turn out to not like women or men in that way and the man she thought was gay was a nice guy and she sleeps with him, but he's actually eight years younger than she thought and is still a teenager and now she's confused :P

A girl moves into a house she inherited from her grandmother. When she's cleaning out the attick she finds a diary from 1942 belonging to the man her grandmother had a relationship with at the time. Slowly turning the pages, she reads about the love he had for her and realizes she is falling in love with someone she's never met...until he appears to her one day in the attick.

It is not cliche or all life would be cliche, as these themes repeat endlessly millions of times over in every generation of humans. You just need to throw in a plot and some other things going on besides the basic story line, such as a villain or a secret or something interesting such as some travell abrioad or a storm that leaves them stranded on an island in a lake overnight or in a cave on a mountaintop os something. Maybe he is a long lost prince is she a long lost princess...just something. Maybe there are aliens or smugglers or something.

i honestly think that layout might be a little cliche, try this though (it might be even more cliche though:/)
maybe she can fall in love with his older brother and the player gets jealous and really falls in love with her but she has no interest. she can go out with the older brother and they fall into a deep love. (you can add onto that, or if your interested in suspense, you can make the player scare the older brother away {you can decide what scare means} and the girl is upset then the player gets upset.......

hope that helps:/

I'm not sure if it's a cliche to be honest, (I don't read much female pornography). But you could give the story a twist, have the brother infected with some disease or affliction and then she has to nurse him through it, mop up his drool and stuff. Also have a mormon community, village idiot, a blind girl and lots monsters running around in red coats.

2 whole books!?!? Dang girl! You must have some serious will-power. I get writers-block a lot during my novels, sometimes it takes me almost a week to get past it. Actually, I've started about 1,000 books only I've never finished one of them!

Anyways, to your question:
I like the ideas! You have the bones of the body spread out and now all you have to do is fill it in with flesh. Instead of this story having blue eyes maybe you want to change it to green? Twist it up a bit. Because, honestly, every reader loves to read about twisted stories that really challenge the brain to work. Inspiration has to flow out of it.

As for the love triangle thing going on here's a couple ideas:
1. The owner's son already has a girl, but she loves him anyways. She ends up realizing that her actual soul-mate is the guy along-side her ( his brother ).
2. Same idea from the top except she ends up being with the owner's son's brother (wow that's confusing ). But she knows it isn't right. In the end everything gets straightened out and she ends up with the owner's son, while the brother ends up with the other guys' girl.

Does any of that make any sense? Just "twist it up" a bit and see what the outcome is. Another thing you could do is have the village in the middle of the woods. Sort of more historical. Like back in time a little where they lived in huts instead of houses and used fire instead of AC. And instead of hunting for their food at the grocery store they had to pick it from the peak of where it originally arises... I don't know! Those are probably bad examples. The choice is yours. Whatever you pick will be great to your book, though!
Good luck! :)

It sounds like something I would read & write, so I like it. Sure it's cliche but you can always add to make it not. But I would definitely read it.

Make the guy-main character be a vampire... OOoooh, a SPARKLY vampire with color changing eyes, & can read minds.... umm, and maybe the girl main character can move to a town she hates, and be the only person whos mind the guy cant read and then they fall in love even though they know they shouldn't be together because shes not a vampire and its like, dangerous somehow.......and, uumm, maybe make another group of vampires be after her or something?

oh, man, i need to write this down!!!

How about making the brothers identical twins?
Or have a twist in the story where the brothers are not related and the boy and girl are long lost siblings?
Maybe the nicer brother has a slight mental illness whereby this is what makes her fall for him and they 'complete' each other.
I take it she is a virgin. Perhaps the brothers bet about taking her virginity but the nicer brother backs off and actually falls for her.
How about the nicer brother being gay and she turns him?
Depends how strong/weak willed you make her.
Hope you've been unblocked!
