Teenagers in high school: how often do you get a new phone?

at my school, almost everyone i see uses the latest mobile phones, like iphone, really thin slide phones, or watever.

so im just wondering, how often do you get a new phone (doesnt matter if u pay for it yourself or your parents buy them)
