The Big Cat Thread

When it comes to adult humans cougars will attack a woman but i never heard of one attacking a grown man. They tend to avoid the adult male of our species.

Actually, that's not the case. This would be the famous California attack where the female bicyclist got mauled. What most people don't remember is that a grown man was killed before the cat attacked her. There are other cases too.

A cougar was shot near the campground not long after the attack. However i don't know if it was the right one. The cougar has to be killed, according to wildlife experts, because it is a predatory animal, has shown aggresion against humans and cannot be relocated.

I say we just shoot them all. I mean after all they're on land that could be developed into tasty condo plots right? Or I mean God forbid it's the wild outdoors with wild animals?!?! Who dropped that ball?!?! Let's just wholesale slaughter them all. Great plan.

Lets say i bit someone in the neck and drank their blood. Would you give me a pass because thats expected of a vampyre or would you say i should be punished? Same principle(:

Not at all. Every depiction I've seen as a vampire shows them to have at least human intelligence and since you're typing on a forum I'll credit you with the same

As such you can easily understand the problems with killing someone, or just wounding them, and can quite easily find another way to get blood that is more acceptable. A cougar on the other hand is a wild animal that hunts meat and however we might like to look at our race that's essentially all we are is huge lumbering sacks of lovely delicious flesh. The cougar didn't know any better and what pissed me off was the phrase "shrown aggression to humans" like it gives a flying toss. Its not like its got a taste for baby blood and is now going to exclusively eat toddlers.

I actually like cougars and bears. From a safe distance of course. I love wildlife as much as anyone else but the law says when a wild animal becomes a threat to humans it has to be taken out. Swiftly and humanely of course.
