It's all medical, student loans and mortgage so that leaves very little to work with. I think she used our home equity to take a chunk out of the medical bills but that leaves us ___ out of luck with the mortgage company. Even bankruptcy wouldn't help much now, depending where we are with the medical bills.

Something to think about though,(not sure if this applies only here or nationally) but medical bills do not effect your credit score like a regular bill does, it's the nature of the beast. You could try calling the medical folk and set up a payment plan or apply for county/state assistance in getting help for paying the med. bills, that could help with the mortgage issue and easen the strain a little...
